THE OPPORTUNITY

As our Lead – Education Uninterrupted, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Plan International's global education agenda, ensuring children and young people, especially girls and those facing the greatest barriers, can access quality, inclusive and uninterrupted learning. You will lead the vision, strategy and evolution of Plan International's Education Uninterrupted Scalable Programme Model (SPM) across development, humanitarian and fragile contexts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the development and evolution of the Education Uninterrupted Scalable Programme Model, in line with Plan International's Global Strategy.
• Translate global education evidence and programme learning into strategic direction, technical standards, guidance and programme approaches.
• Develop theories of change and evidence-based programme models that address barriers to learning (gender, disability, poverty, displacement, language).
• Provide global technical leadership on inclusive, quality and uninterrupted education, and champion gender-transformative, rights-based and disability-inclusive approaches.
• Promote innovative approaches, including digital and technology-enabled learning and flexible learning pathways.
• Lead investment cases, resource mobilisation strategies and donor propositions for education programming.

• Build strategic relationships with donors, foundations, multilateral organisations, education networks and academic institutions.
• Represent Plan International in global education and ECD forums, alliances and networks.
• Collaborate with Regional Hubs, Country Offices and National Organisations on quality implementation, scale and learning.
• Lead the analysis of programme performance, outcomes and learning data.
• Develop strategic briefings, thought leadership products and technical guidance for senior leaders.
• Champion safeguarding, gender equality, inclusion and ethical conduct.

ABOUT YOU

• Significant strategic and technical experience in Education and Early Childhood Development (ECD) programming.
• Strong expertise in inclusive, quality education and approaches that prevent and address disruptions to learning.
• Experience across resource-constrained, fragile, conflict-affected and humanitarian settings.
• Experience developing, adapting and scaling programme models using evidence and MEL.
• Proven ability to translate evidence into practical guidance and resource mobilisation narratives.
• Strong partnership development experience with donors, foundations, governments and NGOs.
• Excellent leadership, facilitation and communication skills in complex, matrixed organisations.
• Desirable: multi-country education programmes, education in emergencies, digital learning, policy influencing.

CONDITIONS

• Location: flexible, preferably close to the point of impact, in a country where Plan International has an office that can employ on behalf of the Global Hub (including Cameroon) and where you have the right to work and live.
• Type of role: full-time, permanent or maximum fixed-term contract as per the employing office's terms.
• Salary: set according to your location; not an international contract.
