The position focuses on raising awareness, identifying protection risks, strengthening community-based protection mechanisms, facilitating referrals, and promoting safe access to services for vulnerable populations, including women, children, persons with disabilities, older persons, and survivors of violence.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n1. Community Engagement and Mobilization\n\nConduct regular community outreach and awareness-raising activities on protection issues.\nMobilize community members to participate in protection-related activities and meetings.\nSupport the establishment and strengthening of community-based protection structures.\nFacilitate community dialogues and discussions on protection concerns and solutions.\n2. Identification and Referral of Vulnerable Individuals\n\nIdentify individuals and households with specific protection needs.\nConduct safe and ethical referrals to appropriate service providers.\nFollow established referral pathways and confidentiality protocols.\nSupport timely access to protection, health, psychosocial, legal, and livelihood services.\n3. Protection Monitoring\n\nCollect information on protection risks, incidents, trends, and community concerns.\nReport protection concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.\nParticipate in protection assessments and monitoring exercises.\nContribute to the documentation of protection cases and activities.\n4. meetings.\nAssist in data collection and reporting using IRC tools and systems.\nRequired Qualifications\n\nEducation\n\nMinimum of GCE A levels\nDiploma or certification in Social Work, Community Development, Human Rights is an added advantage\nExperience\n\nAt least 1-3 years of experience in humanitarian, protection, community development, or social work programs.\nExperience working with displaced populations, refugees, returnees, or vulnerable communities is an asset.\nExperience in community mobilization and awareness-raising activities.\nTechnical Skills\n\nKnowledge of humanitarian protection principles.\nUnderstanding of referral pathways and case management principles.\nAbility to work with diverse community groups.\nBasic report writing and data collection skills.\nKnowledge of safeguarding and PSEA standards.\nLanguages\n\nFluency in English.\nKnowledge of local languages spoken in the intervention area is highly desirable.\nBilingual
