WETECH designs and implements entrepreneurship support programs and digital solutions with social impact in partnership with institutional donors, and runs a coworking space. As part of strengthening its teams for the September–December 2026 period, WETECH is recruiting:\n\na GBV Specialist-Operator, responsible for monitoring WETECH’s digital platforms and applications dedicated to combating Gender-Based Violence (GBV).\n\nContext and Purpose of the Position\nAs part of its efforts to combat gender-based violence, WETECH has developed digital platforms and applications enabling the reporting, tracking, and referral of GBV cases. The GBV Specialist-Operator ensures the day-to-day monitoring and use of these tools, handles reported cases, refers survivors to appropriate services, and coordinates with other actors involved in GBV protection and response.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\nMonitoring of WETECH’s GBV Platforms and Applications\nEnsure daily monitoring and active oversight of WETECH’s GBV platforms, applications, and phone lines;\nVerify the availability, proper use, and correct functioning of the digital reporting tools;\nReport any technical malfunction to WETECH’s technical team.\nHandling of Reported GBV Cases\nReceive and process, with due regard for confidentiality and ethics, GBV cases reported through the platforms, applications, and phone lines;\nConduct an initial assessment of survivors’ needs using a survivor-centered approach;\nEnsure responsive and compassionate follow-up of each reported case, in accordance with applicable standards and protocols (confidentiality, informed consent, non-judgment).\nReferral of Survivors and Case Management\nEnsure referral of survivors to appropriate services: health, psychosocial support, legal assistance, security, etc.;\nSystematically record reported and handled GBV cases (database, tracking tools);\nEnsure regular updating of case files and statistics, in strict compliance with data confidentiality;\nProduce periodic reports on cases handled and observed trends.\nCoordination with Actors in the Field\nCoordinate activities and actions with other actors involved in GBV prevention and response (government bodies, NGOs, GBV networks and focal points, health and protection services);\nParticipate in sector coordination meetings and existing referral mechanisms;\nContribute to raising awareness of and providing information on WETECH’s tools and services among partners and communities.\nRequired Profile\nEducation\n\nMinimum Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3).\n\nExperience\n\nAt least 2 years of experience in the care, referral, or follow-up of GBV cases;\nExperience working with digital reporting or case management platforms is an asset;\nExperience collaborating with humanitarian actors, United Nations agencies (including UNFPA), or protection organizations is an asset.\nTechnical Skills\n\nSound knowledge of guiding principles for GBV case management (survivor-centered approach, confidentiality, informed consent);\nProficiency in basic digital and office tools (smartphone, mobile applications, Excel, Word);\nAbility to document cases and produce monitoring reports;\nStrong command of French, both written and spoken; proficiency in English and\u002For a local language is an asset.\nPersonal Qualities\n\nStrong listening skills, empathy, and a high sense of ethics and confidentiality;\nRigor, responsiveness, and strong organizational skills;\nAbility to work within networks and coordinate with multiple actors;\nResilience and ability to manage sensitive or emotionally demanding situations;\nCommitment to gender equality principles and WETECH’s mission.\nHow to Apply\nInterested candidates who meet the above criteria are invited to submit an application including:\n\na cover letter addressed to WETECH Management;\nan up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV), with at least two professional references.\nApplications should be sent to: contact@we-tech.org, with the position title clearly stated in the subject line.\n\nApplication deadline: 11 September 2026.
