UNITY CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY (UNICS) Plc, a Category 2 Microfinance Institution with a capital of 1,600,000,000 FCFA, registered with the RCCM under number RC/YAO/2020/M/279, with its Headquarters located in Yaoundé (Marché Central, opposite Katios), is seeking the services of a PROFESSIONAL INTERN IN NETWORK AND MAINTENANCE to be trained in its Head Office in Yaoundé.

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Work location: Yaoundé
• Contract type: Professional Intern
• Age limit: 26 years
• Languages: English and French
• Qualification: At least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Network or any related field

KEY TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide first-level technical support to users and troubleshoot IT-related issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on computers, printers and other IT equipment.
• Install, configure and update operating systems, software and security applications.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, internet and branch network connectivity issues.
• Assist with network cabling, equipment installation and configuration.
• Assist in managing user accounts, permissions and access rights in Active Directory.
• Monitor network devices, connectivity and IT infrastructure performance.
• Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment and software.
• Document technical incidents, maintenance activities and solutions provided.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the responsible IT personnel.
• Comply with company IT security policies and confidentiality requirements.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Knowledge in computer networking.
• Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity and internet/VPN issues.
• Computer hardware and software installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Windows operating system installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Printer installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of network device configuration (routers, switches and access points).
• Basic knowledge of server monitoring, virtualization and IT asset management.
• Good communication, problem-solving, documentation and teamwork skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• A high level of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail.
