ISA supported the establishment of the Civil Society for Malaria Elimination (CS4ME), the first global civil society network for malaria elimination, which brings together over 1,000 organisations in 43 countries.\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Regional Project Coordinator to lead a project that strengthens the national Civil Societies in Malaria in Benin, Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana.\n\nAbout the project\nMalaria remains one of Africa’s foremost public health challenges, yet elimination is achievable through strong community engagement and wider access to existing and innovative tools for the people who need them. New malaria tools can bring Africa closer to elimination, and civil society must be equipped to engage meaningfully in malaria interventions and programmes.\n\nISA intends to strengthen national civil society coalitions on malaria so that national decision-making is informed and legitimate, and grounded in community understanding, trust and social acceptance.\n\nStrengthen the institutional, technical and financial capacities of malaria CSO coalitions at national level.\nImprove coordination, networking and collaboration among civil society actors at local, national and regional levels.\nEnhance CSO participation and civic engagement in policy dialogue and social accountability processes.\nGenerate evidence and learning to inform advocacy and future programming.\nPurpose of the position\nThe Project Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and reporting of the project. The post-holder ensures that activities are delivered on time, within budget and in line with the donor agreement, organisational policies and quality standards, while building strong, trust-based relationships with civil society partners and other stakeholders.\n\nKey responsibilities\n1. Project planning and management\nDevelop and update detailed work plans, budgets, procurement plans and risk registers in line with the project document.\nCoordinate and oversee the implementation of all project activities, ensuring outputs and outcomes are delivered on schedule.\nMonitor budget execution jointly with the administration and finance team and ensure compliance with donor rules and procedures.\nIdentify risks and bottlenecks early and propose corrective actions to management.\n2. Civil society engagement and capacity strengthening\nManage the CSO coalitions that will map and engage CSOs, networks, community groups and other relevant actors, and maintain an up-to-date stakeholder database.\nLead the assessment of coalition capacity needs and coordinate the design and delivery of training, mentoring and coaching programmes.\nManage sub-grants at country level, including selection, due diligence, contracting, follow-up and closure.\nProvide technical support to the coalitions so they can facilitate platform\n3. Advocacy, coordination and representation\nSupport civil society advocacy initiatives, policy dialogue and social accountability actions.\nBuild and maintain constructive relations with government institutions and partners.\n4. Reporting and communication\nContribute to high-quality narrative reports (monthly, quarterly, annual and final).\nSupervise the production of internal case studies.\n5.
